My name is Guðrún Gísladóttir – I am born and raised in Iceland and after graduating from The Commercial College of Iceland, I moved to Sweden. I studied Scandinavian Studies, Linguistics and Literature at the University in Lund and later at the University in Tórshavn, in the Faroe Islands. Copenhagen is my base, when not traveling.
The Photographer – Photography has been my passion since childhood. I got my first own camera when I was eleven years old – a Kodak Instamatic, before that I used my parents old Box Camera. My SLR was a Konica and then I chose Nikon, a good choice as it happens.
The Translator – While at University, I started translating and interpreting. Icelandic is my mother tongue, and apart from English, I am fluent in all the languages of the North Germanic Language Family.
The Wool Worker – Knitted my first stitches when I was 8, the needles are still ticking.
